Boston-born Esteban Valdez crafts clear, compelling stories. A BFA graduate from Lesley University in Animation and a student of architecture at Boston Architectural Center, he launched his first studio in 2001-2002.
Valdez's career flourished with roles at Nickelodeon (New York, 2003-2004; Canada, 2006-2008) and Gameloft (California, 2004-2005). In 2008, during the Great Financial Crisis, he pioneered a remote/virtual animation studio in the U.S.
Relocating to Florida in 2010, Valdez embraced Bitcoin in 2019. By 2020, his studio became the first in animation history to adopt Bitcoin as standard. During Covid-19, with an established remote pipeline, his company thrived.
In 2024-2025, he founded a Bitcoin-centric firm investing in animation projects. Esteban Valdez—visionary and trailblazer.
