Hearing the news this morning about Kyoto Animation... It's absolutely devastating. It hits close to home for a few reasons; we're admirers of KyoAni and all of the wonderful things they've contributed to animation. We are admirers of anime in general really, and we run our own animation company. We'll never fully grasp their experience, but we more than recognize the loss this community is feeling right now.
The animation industry is difficult enough as it is. This tragic event... It does send a message... Exactly what the message is, I'm not sure. Only time will really tell.
Our condolences to the hardworking people of KyoAni.
